RE: Smiths Beach inquiry. I am still unable to get an answer as to why the original 1995 planning draft was altered so dramatically.

The situation could be corrected by providing the Ministers' staff - who will be conducting the independent inquiry into the Smiths Beach controversy - with a copy of that draft.

If council are unable to provide this report, I would be only too happy to obtain a copy for this purpose. For the inquiry to be truly independent it is essential that the above proposal be carried out.
