FURTHER to Pauline Clay's letter, (Mail, December 20) I attended a meeting in the Yallingup Hall attended by a crowd that filled the hall and spilled ouside of the entrances.

I asked the question was anyone aware as to who was responsible for the drastic changes to the draft submitted to council in 1995, however it appears no satisfactory response is coming from council.

The draft was compiled by a council-appointed commitee of well informed people who put several years of the time into the project.

Had the draft not been altered so dramatically the current dispute over Smith Beach may never have occurred.

Maybe the CCC should look into this matter as well.
